This is more of a general Godot question, I hope it's not too off-topic.
Whenever code is generated such as when connecting a method to a signal or overriding _physics_process, the generated function signature does not include type information.
E.g. I get "func _physics_process(delta):" rather than "func _physics_process(delta: float) -> void:"
Is there a way to get the typed signature generated? I use godot 3.3.2.stable.mono
If you head to Editor -> Editor Settings, then in the Text Editor section find the Completion page, you can check Add Type Hints
