First I want to say I am loving the course and very happy with my purchase. I just have a quick question about the delta trick used in this lesson. I understand what it is doing mathematically in basically just removing the delta term but my question is if this causes the game to no longer be frame rate independent?
You spend only a single frame inside of calculate_jump_velocity(), just long enough to, well, calculate the jump velocity. It doesn't actually have the time to become "desync'ed" with the framerate. The result is then provided to the Move state, which uses it normally.
